I built local dictation for macOS, then took the LLM back out A 3B model asked to tidy dictated maths invented an epsilon-N definition nobody had spoken. So the last mile is a lookup table, not a model. Aug 2026 I gave AI agents a flight recorder Argus shows live what an AI agent touches on your Mac. In one real Claude Code session it logged 299 file accesses, 61 processes and 3 keychain reads.
